Hi, my name is Stephen Lowery and I am Executive Chef at Eire Café, an Adelaide-based fine food destination, owned and operated by myself and my partner Zoi.


Whilst being trained as a professional chef in Ireland, I enjoyed combining honest, hearty, traditional Irish cooking with French flair and technique to produce wholesome food that put smiles on people’s faces.


Our Eire Artisan Pies were born at our café when one day, quite early in the piece, I was challenged by a customer for not having savoury pies on our menu.


I served him a pie the next day that I made by hand from the ground up, pastry, sauce and diced meat included. The smile on his face spurred me on to make Eire Artisan Pies a feature of our menu and a labour of love for me as a chef.
